The Wag-A-Thon is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It has always been our goal to raise $10,000 at this event, but we have yet to reach that amount. We’re starting early this year in the hope that this will be the year that we reach our goal. Why $10,000? For one thing, we spend more than 2 times that amount every year and the expenses continue to grow. There was a time that most sick or hurt dogs and cats at the Humane Society were euthanized due to lack of funds to help them. Through the support of caring people like you, Paw Pals has been able to help save more pets every year. We believe every homeless pet should be given another chance for a loving home. Don’t you?
Every cent Paw Pals raises is spent to benefit the homeless pets at the Humane Society of Clinton County. We pay for vet care for animals in need of it, spays and neuters, medications and preventatives, food for special diets, and many different items that keep the dogs and cats more comfortable and happy while they wait for their forever homes. We also spend quite a bit to help with transport expenses when rescues are willing to help us with some of the dogs and cats.
The 12th Annual Wag-A-Thon is Saturday, May 19th. There will be a walk through the park with your dog (or a shelter dog if you like) and some fun contests. The registration fee is $10.00 for each dog walked or entered in a contest. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and the event starts at 10. The walk will commence at about 10:30. Everything should be wrapped up by 11:30 or no later than noon. Please plan on attending! We need your support!

Another way you can help is to share (below) our Wag-A-Thon story with as many people as possible. If we can get thousands of people to contribute $5 or $10, we will have no problem reaching our goal. We have quite a few people that physically collect pledges to bring to the Wag-A-Thon, but we’re adding this tool for those of you that would like to help us raise funds without leaving home. Please help us raise enough money so that every animal that needs our help in the next year can get it!
